From a client:
Ahh, FiOS is coming.
About once a month Optimum goes down. Naturally, since we’re in the middle of our clients’ (Lyrek CEMS) busiest seasons, they’ve decided to perform maintenance this week. And, regardless of their claims, when they take the network down, it stays down for a good 4-8hrs.
Well, get a load of this voice recording from Optimum/Cablevision’s helpdesk. This company still thinks it’s okay to not only provide unreliable service, but to take down all of New Jersey each month. Thank God FiOS is coming…
2nd on 2nd’s Descent into Hell
As Camp Sisco was in session, The Birds, their friends and I went off to karaoke at Second on Second (Second Street, Second Avenue in the East Village). Flash File Uploader v3.11 – Details Bugfix

Due to old code in the the index.php file, the details checkbox wasn’t displaying file information and thumbnails for file lists in custom directories. This has been fixed and re-uploaded in a new .rar file of this project. The link is the same as the last one.
Comments and feedback always welcome. Thanks again, Mike, for the assistance and to [d]online commenter, TimD, for pointing this to my attention.
Complete FLA, PHP and file structure source files with options for Custom Directories and File Name Rewrite (with bugfix).

Radiohead’s House of Cards video
In Radiohead’s new video for “House of Cards”, no cameras or lights were used. Instead, 3D plotting technologies collected information about the shapes and relative distances of objects. The video was created entirely with visualizations of that data.
Go to: http://code.google.com/radiohead to find additional pieces of data to create your own visualizations.
The Boys and the Subway
I came across these really wonderful illustrations (created by Christoph Niemann) by chance and thought you might enjoy them too.
